DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As Client Onboarding Manager, you will be the foremost control point for new businesses flowing into the organization. You will be responsible for reviewing and evaluating the client agreement proposals, including but not limited to cost, business model, set-up, contract arrangements, and potential threats to ensure a risk-free and agreeable partnership with clients. You must also take ownership of commanding the onboarding process, portal management, and incubation mobilization for new businesses flowing into the organization. In detail:
- Thoroughly review entire business proposals, looking after scope of services, business set-up and model, and cost structures
- Successfully forecast business projections to match with business development unit forecasts
- Effectively review contracts and agreements, ensuring the most equitable and risk-averse arrangement across parties involved
- Periodically conduct a client portal audit to identify opportunities and threats
- Establish an efficient onboarding process for new businesses from contract documentation, to client information collection, to business unit onboarding mobilization, to incubation monitoring, to offboarding
- Successfully set up and maintain the client portal through close collaboration with the cross-functional business units and the tech provider
- Meticulously form an effective user access hierarchy to ensure relevant portal access only
- Efficiently lead all onboarding activities related to signing up new clients or expansion of scope of services of existing clients
- Thoroughly set-up client information collection process appropriate for the business model, market, or scope of work involved
- Establish strong work relationship with business development units and constructively recommend the most strategic course of action to improve business proposals that align best with the company objectives: cost effectiveness, compliance to policies, category and business unit expansion goals, among others
- Meticulously work with business unit heads in building standardized cost structures, rate cards, and fees bible for the organization’s service offers
- Successfully liaise with the CPO and other relevant internal stakeholders in ensuring business knowledge is relevant and up to date
- Any other duties as assigned by the management
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate possesses a demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple stakeholders with varying business needs. The candidate will establish a high degree of ownership and initiative, coupled with a consistent, detail-oriented focus as controller of new businesses for the company. The candidate should be obsessed with cost and process efficiency, with an incessant attention to the growing business requirements. Additionally, the candidate must have a strong history of managing projects to tight timelines, balancing multiple priorities, effectively working across internal stakeholders, and demonstrating effective communication skills appropriate to the audience. Other qualifications include the following:
- Must possess minimum of 5 years combined experience in vendor/partner management, acquisitions and onboarding management, commercial management, business control, or other related areas
- Well versed with P&L management, service costing, client contracts and agreements, and business set-up
- Experience in multinational businesses in the APAC region is preferred
- Familiar with CRM tools, EDI, or other client portal systems
- Experience in multinational businesses in the APAC region is preferred
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline of study. Business, commerce, and finance-related studies are a plus but not required
- Passionate about business control, process excellence, and the ecommerce industry
